Edmonton County students shortlisted for Design Future London Challenge 2023/24
1 March 2024
Students from ROK partner schools Edmonton County School have been shortlisted for the Design Future London Challenge 2023/24 in the ages 16 – 18 category!
For this year’s challenge, students were tasked with designing a solution around a built environment opportunity in their local area using the resources provided including Minecraft Education.
Through the challenge, students will find out about the different career opportunities available in the built environment sector, experience new things and learn different skills in a creative and collaborative way.
The Edmonton County entry, ‘Teenz’, aims to address the issue of local gang violence and cuts in funding for youth centre provision, and support young people with their mental health, social interactions, and housing, by ”creating a safe space for young people to meet, interact, create, learn, and have fun in a safe environment”.
