ROK hosts 2024 Design Future London Student Showcase
22 March 2024
On Friday 22 March 2024, Reach Out 2 Kids hosted the 2024 Design Future London Student Showcase, providing students from partner schools Clapton Girls’ Academy and Edmonton County School the chance to present their submissions to last year’s Design Future London Challenge to a range of industry professionals.
As part of the event, attendees had the opportunity to vote for their favourite design – with Project Teenz winning best project on the day with 73% of the vote.
Speaking during the day, ROK founder and CEO Denise Stephenson said: “I used to do the legal agreements advising my clients on large architectural projects. Getting involved in Design Future London and introducing young people like yourself to the built environment really was my passion. I am really excited about opening up those opportunities for you all.”
We would like to thank Havas Village London for hosting the event, and Chris Page and Megan Armstrong-Challinor from Jelly for facilitating our use of the space, as well as speakers Christina Hsieh from Matter Chartered Engineer, who mentored the students during the challenge, and Sarah Randall covering for Julian McIntosh from Julian McIntosh Architects, who sent in a video congratulating the students for their work.
We are incredibly proud to work with these students – thank you and well done everyone!
