ROK students pitch ideas at GLA Design Future London event

18 April 2023

A huge well done and thank you to all the ROK students who attended today's session at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors as part of the GLA Design Future London project.

As part of the day, the students had to present their proposals Dragons Den-style to a panel of experts, ahead of submitting their proposals to the GLA by Tuesday 25 April.

The GLA and Mayor of London Design Future London project aims to inspire young Londoners to develop an interest in careers in the built environment by designing beautiful, affordable and sustainable places to live, work and visit.

Alongside two other charities, ROK was engaged to work with five schools in Hackney, Lambeth, Blackheath and Enfield to support around 150 students to take part in, engage with and complete their projects.

The awards ceremony will take place on 7 July 2023 and we are wishing each and everyone one of our participating students the very best of luck!

Thanks to all those who helped to facilitate today’s brilliant session: Sarah Noble, Machel Bogues, Natalie Wells, Julian McIntosh, Shamera Khushi, Sarah Hayford, Christina Hsieh and Senan Seaton Kelly.
